路線簡介
中邊路是熊野古道各條路線中最神聖的一條，也是與日本宗教史聯繫最為深厚的道路。自10世紀起，歷代天皇、上皇、后妃與貴族便沿此路進行「熊野詣」，朝拜熊野三山。傳說花山法皇在986年退位為遊僧後多次行走此路，使其廣為人知；平安、鎌倉兩朝皇室的參拜次數逾百次。古杉林蔭的石板古道、青苔包裹的王子社、穿林而過的晨霧——這條路是神道信仰與佛教思想在千年中互相滲透的見證。現代旅人走在中邊路上，彷彿步入一個時間重疊的世界，每一步都踩在無數先人的祈禱之上。

瀧尻王子
離起點 0 公里 · 海拔 80 m五體王子之一，熊野參詣道的神聖入口。皇族在此進行淨化儀式。蓋章台在熊野古道館前、入口旁。
大坂本王子
離起點 9.5 公里 · 海拔 360 m大坂本（據說是「大阪」名稱的起源）的王子。曾是峠越聚落中的王子社。蓋章台在古道沿線王子遺跡處。
蛇形地藏
離起點 23.5 公里 · 海拔 440 m供奉蛇形地藏菩薩像的安置堂。朝聖者絡繹不絕在此祈求旅途平安。蓋章台在蛇形地藏堂入口旁。
伏拜王子
離起點 31 公里 · 海拔 350 m「伏拜」——首次能遠望本宮大社之處。朝聖者感激得伏地而拜。蓋章台在展望所。
川之古道（川舟中心）
離起點 40 公里 · 海拔 30 m沿熊野川乘舟而下的「川之參詣道」。世界遺產登錄的唯一水上參道。平安時代皇族使用的聖水路。蓋章台在乘船場。
小和瀨渡口遺跡
離起點 64 公里 · 海拔 60 m昔日熊野川渡船場遺跡。河流曾劃分聖域與俗界的界線。蓋章台在渡船場遺跡附近。
市野々王子
離起點 73 公里 · 海拔 100 m「市野々」意為市集之野，位於那智山麓的交易聚落。後白河法皇熊野御幸的紀錄中亦有記載。蓋章台在王子遺跡石碑旁。
地藏茶屋跡
離起點 82 公里 · 海拔 680 m大雲取越古道沿線的茶屋遺跡。地藏菩薩像守護旅人。陡峭山路上珍貴的休息點。蓋章台在茶屋遺跡附近。
