那智勝浦周邊保留的熊野古道大邊路。世界遺產巡禮道路，也是通往青岸渡寺的連接路線。沿海岸可遠眺太平洋絕景的古道。

紀州德川家的居城，白色天守矗立於虎伏山上俯瞰市區。距西國2番紀三井寺約20公里，是和歌山市觀光中心。

約30,000株櫻花將整座山染成粉色，是日本屈指可數的賞花名所。世界遺產「紀伊山地靈場與參詣道」的一部分。也是以金峯山寺為中心的修驗道聖地。

世界最大木造建築中安置的高14.98公尺盧舎那大佛。世界遺產奈良古都的核心景點，是遊覽8〜9番寺院周邊奈良地區時的必訪之地。

約1200頭被視為春日大社神使的野生鹿自由遊走。被指定為國家天然紀念物，以向遊客討要鹿仙貝而聞名。
